Rochester-based business strategist Jennifer Sertl is ranked in top 1% of influencers on social media
She has been identified as “one of the most trusted people in her areas of interest, profession, and engagement in social media streams”
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Rochester-based business strategist Jennifer Sertl has been named a top social-media influencer by Kred Influence and Outreach, which has ranked her among the top 1% of influencers in the world, and by LinkedIn, which ranked her profile as in the top 1% most-viewed for 2012. Sertl, the president of Agility 3R and an internationally respected author and keynote speaker, was invited to and attended the Kred Influencer Summit in New York City in February.
“When working with companies who want to reach influential bloggers and tweeters, you need a strong foundation to start interacting with people that can move others to act said Andrew Grill, CEO of Kred, which measures social-media analytics and influence and outreach. “Being a top 1% Elite Influencer makes it much easier for leaders such as Jennifer Sertl to target and engage other influencers whom she can see has a strong digital presence and is active on key social networks.”
Kred’s Social Media Influence score is derived from queries that combine keywords, hashtags, Twitter bios and conversations within the community formed around social media. Real-time algorithms and metadata were created from more than 1,000 days of posts, allowing Kred to pinpoint particular influencers.
As a result, one who is ranked as a Kred Elite Influencer is identified as “one of the most trusted people in his or her areas of interest, profession, and engagement in social media streams.” And this gauge also serves as a reliable "social reference check" to ensure those who claim to have influence in a particular community actually do. Only 1% of the people in the social media community have a score of 400 or above.
“The score in itself is not what this is about,” said Jodee Rich, CEO of PeopleBrowser. “It is about changing behavior by giving humans, enterprise, and business really interesting insights.”
Sertl recently was informed by business-oriented social site LinkedIn that hers was one of the top 1% most-viewed profiles for 2012. She spends a minimum of two hours each day researching and sharing inspirational and thought-provoking articles and information with her followers. She populates and communicates through several online platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest.
“We’re all on a global stage and our impact is being measured,” Sertl said. “At the epicenter of all I do is my hope for people to reexamine their priorities and make wiser long-term decisions. I cannot ask for a megaphone big enough to share this thinking and social-media allows me to do so, globally.”
